Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I want to understand not only the symptoms that brought you here, but also who you are, your experiences, your strengths, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. We'll discuss your mental health concerns, medical and psychiatric history, current medications, lifestyle, and any factors that may be affecting your well-being. By the end of our visit, we'll work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and supports your overall wellness.

During follow-up appointments, we'll review how you've been doing since your last visit, discuss what's working well, address any concerns or changes you've noticed, and make adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. Each visit includes medication management, brief psychotherapy, review of lab work when appropriate, and discussions about lifestyle habits and other evidence-based wellness strategies that support your mental health.

Appointments are time-based, allowing you to choose the visit length that best fits your needs. 45- and 60-minute appointments provide additional time to incorporate psychotherapy into your care. 30-minute appointments are generally more focused on medication management and treatment follow-up and are often a good fit for individuals who are already working with a therapist.

Every treatment plan is individualized. Depending on your symptoms, treatment goals, and stage of recovery, follow-up visits may be recommended anywhere from weekly to every 2–3 months. We'll determine the frequency of visits together based on your progress and clinical needs.

Follow Up Appointments

Communication Between Appointments

Three wooden blocks with contact icons: email on the left, phone in the middle, and location pin on the right.

I understand that questions or concerns can come up between appointments, and I'm always happy to hear from you. If you have a non-urgent question, please send me a message through the patient portal or contact the office by phone. I'll do my best to respond during regular business hours.

If you're experiencing new symptoms, having significant medication concerns, or feel that something needs more than a quick message, I'd encourage you to schedule a follow-up appointment so we can give your concerns the time and attention they deserve.

If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or call or text 988. Because I am an outpatient provider, the patient portal, email, and voicemail are not monitored continuously and should never be used for urgent or emergency situations.
